Cerita Rakyat Kalimatan Tengah Pilihan Siswa Sekolah Dasar dalam Pembelajaran Menggunakan Media Manual

Abstract

This study aims to describe: 1) one favorite title out of five titles in the book 'Bukit Batu Suli: A Collection of Central Kalimantan Folklore in learning using manual media that is the choice of 5th grade elementary school students; 2) the contingency correlation value of one favorite title out of five titles in the book 'Bukit Batu Suli: A Collection of Central Kalimantan Folklore in learning using manual media that is the choice of 5th grade elementary school students per sample group. Those are the two objectives of research on Central Kalimantan Folklore. This study employs a descriptive-quantitative approach, presenting findings in tables. This study was conducted in the 5th grade at five elementary schools in Central Kalimantan in February 2025. The population of this study was 5th-grade elementary school students who participated in Central Kalimantan Folklore appreciation learning using manual teaching materials and answered questions about their favorite folklore in the book 'Bukit Batu Suli: A Collection of Central Kalimantan Folklore. They numbered 131 students divided from six elementary schools. This study used a total sample. Data was collected using an oral test. The results of the study: 1) the favorite folk tale chosen by sample members was entitled Ranying Hatala Langit Murka; 2) the contingency correlation value of one favorite title in the book 'Bukit Batu Suli: A Collection of Central Kalimantan Folklore in learning using manual media per sample group was 0.48 (moderate correlation) which means that some groups chose the same favorite story but other groups chose different favorite stories.
