Abstract

This study aims to describe: 1) the results of the validation of the teaching material development procedure for the Riau Islands folklore theme using a dual technique using the Google Form file upload option; 2) the profile of the final product of the Riau Islands folklore theme teaching material using a dual technique using the Google Form file upload option. This study employs the R & D method, utilizing a qualitative-quantitative approach, which took place at SMA Negeri 1 Lingga, with modifications to the ADDIE procedure. The research respondents consisted of two Indonesian language teachers and six students per class, serving as the audience. The research population consisted of 36 grade X students who participated in the trial learning of teaching materials using a pretest-posttest design in a single group. The sample consisted of 34 students, determined using statistical formulas. Interviews were conducted with three Indonesian language teachers and grade X students. Pretest and posttest data were collected using a performance test instrument. Quantitative data were analyzed using nonparametric inferential statistics, specifically the Mann-Whitney test, to determine the effectiveness of the teaching material product. The results of the study: 1) the results of the validation of the teaching material development procedure had a mode value of 4, which is very good; 2) physical profile of the final product of the teaching material: (a) the title of the teaching material is 'The Strength and Intelligence of Folklore Characters'; (b) the final product of the teaching material is in the form of a Google form which is divided into section 1 on student attributes, section 2 on descriptions of folklore, section 3 on teaching instructions on themes and messages, section 4 on copying assignment techniques, section 5 on tests as learning techniques, and section 6 on post-tests; (c) the suitability of the final product according to the review team is 'excellent'; (d) the final product of the teaching material is effective for use in learning the theme of Riau Islands folklore.
