Kekuatan Vokal dan Instrumentalia Lagu Melayu Jambi menurut Penilaian Siswa Kelas X SMA Negeri 10 Jambi

Abstract

This study aims to describe: 1) the vocal power of Jambi Malay songs according to the assessment of class X students of SMA Negeri 10 Jambi City; 2) the instrumental strength of the Jambi Malay song according to the assessment of class X students of SMA Negeri 10 Jambi City. This research takes place in the even semester of the 2022/2023 school year. Class X students of SMA Negeri 10 Jambi City who submitted answers on the Google form as many as 100 students constituted the population of this study. They were divided into 26 students from class X.1 and class X.2 and 24 students from class X.3 and class X.4 respectively. The research sample consisted of 80 students consisting of 21 students in class X.1 and class X.2 each and 19 students in class X.3 and class X.4 respectively. Each member of the sample group is drawn simply randomly from the members of the population group. To collect data on vocal and instrumental power, a questionnaire technique was used which was arranged objectively and systematically through the media google form. In addition, videos on the YouTube channel are used to get songs rated. The questionnaire contains questions according to the indicators using the 1-10 rating scale option. Data on the power of vocals and instrumentals of the Jambi Malay music video were analyzed using descriptive statistical procedures. The principle used for noninferential statistics is the mode. The results showed: 1) the vocal strength of the Jambi Malay music video according to the assessment of class X students of SMA Negeri 10 Jambi City with a score of 8 and a score of 9; 2) the instrumental strength of the Jambi Malay music video according to the assessment of class X students of SMA Negeri 10 Jambi City with a score of 8 and a score of 9.
